Takhi is the Mongolian name for the Przewalski’s horse, the only remaining wild horse today. The Takhi horses went extinct in the wild in 1960s. After a successful reintroduction programme, the horses are now again freely roaming the grasslands of Mongolia.
This successful reintroduction was a collective effort of international stakeholders as well as local people. In the spirit of Takhi, we aspire to co-create thriving and healthy environments for biodiversity, wildlife, people, and culture in the tourism landscape.
