"Mongolia was a country that I previously really did not know much about. Being able to discover its vast and beautiful nature, rich history, and cultural heritage through the Terraformers retreat was eye-opening and a truly unforgettable experience overall. The itinerary was thoughtfully crafted to include different places that provided the opportunity to not only have fun, but also to learn about Mongolia’s tourism and society (though fun and learning are not mutually exclusive!). The Terraformers curriculum was not didactic and dull; instead it was built from the experiential activities that we had, allowing us to observe, ask many questions, and reflect.

This was the first time I travelled in a group of complete strangers; I’m thankful that the group gelled well, making every day enjoyable, and also giving rise to organic discussions about being a responsible traveller/consumer. With the environmental and social challenges in today’s world, I think it’s important for us to be more mindful and caring in the way that we travel; and Terraformers is a great avenue to help us along with that."
